“ I went on a Friday night. The wait was minimal (10 mins). Our server, Brooklyn, was very helpful. She gave suggestions and excellent service. I ordered the seafood sampler with the creme brule sweet potatoes. The food was amazing! I will definitely be back. ”
“ Absolutely wonderful! I highly recommend dining here. The atmosphere is great, it is beautifully decorated, the service is excellent in the food will delight any seafood lover. They have a variety of fresh oysters and shrimp to choose from and an excellent selection of wine and cocktails. I recommend the oyster sampler. You can try a variety of charbroiled and baked oysters. It might be on the high-end, but the quality is there. You definitely get what you pay for. You won’t be disappointed. ”
“ First time experience, and Wow! Just Wow! Cody was a remarkable server who guided me through all the menu decisions. The Charbroiled oysters were deliciously perfect. Cody recommended the Shrimp Orleans as a starter and it was an amazing combination of sweet and spicy. This comes from someone who is a whimp with spicy foods. Their seasonal special of Grouper with tempura soft shell crab and homemade bearnaise sauce was orgasmic for the flavor profile! Whether local or traveling, I highly recommend visiting Half Shell Oyster House. For an extra treat, ask for Cody! ”
“ Had a wonderful dinner at the bar after a long day! Wonder martinis, oyster Rockefeller, and filet was a great meal and service was awesome! Perfect ending to a long day of hiking! ”
“ When visiting family on the holidays, I always drive by this restaurant and it’s been calling my name for years! Lucky for me, my dad was ready to try something new so we stopped by for lunch. This establishment is large and open, it felt like I was back in New Orleans with its decor of iron fences, and lots of dark red brick. We started with an appetizer of oysters on the half shell which were so fresh and some of the best oysters I’ve had in a while (I live in Florida on the Atlantic and know fresh oyster) Next, we tried the soup. We had a cup of gumbo and a cup of the corn and Seafood bisque. We inhale them! They both held such flavor and were filled with ingredients. Some of the better soups I’ve had at any Seafood restaurant. We also shared some of the fried oysters which were battered and fried to perfection. Very tasty. The service was accommodating, helpful, and we were never left to need. A perfect visit with a perfect menu. Go try half shell oyster House in Pelham if you haven’t. ”
“ First time visit on a date. No crowd at all. It was couple’s night...not really but it was only 3 other seated tables and they were couples/date. The ambience very nice, jazz melody romantic, and our server Marcella was super kind. When my entree arrived, our server said, here you go Madame’. Bayou & Creole southern flare, it was the experience for me The host and all other staff were very nice too. Awesome first-time experience! I actually like small crowd it added more to the experience, seemingly. Oh my goodness...the entree’s were flavorful. Bisque and gumbo yummy. If you don’t like spice make sure you tell them to hold the spice. I felt the Louisiana vibe ”
“ I really enjoyed our dinner here! The food was great and the atmosphere was unique and welcoming. Everything we ate tasted really good. I especially liked the smoked tuna dip, hush puppies, sweet potatoes creme brulee, and the special tonight, a pecan bacon redfish. My mango sunset Martini was very smooth and delicious. Although service was very friendly, it was a bit slow at times. It’s hard to believe at first it is in an old school building because of how beautifully it is decorated. There is also a large bar area you can watch sports. You are brought back to grade school when you enter the hallway to the bathroom. I look forward to my next visit! ”
“ I eat here pretty often and the experience is better and better each time. I usually try something different every time I go. My most recent visit I ordered the Royal Redfish and the Sweet Potato Creme Brulee. It has easily become my favorite meal at this establishment. ”
